Weston Fifth Wheel for Testing / Calibration of Speedometer, Distance, etc. Unit was used at Chrysler Engineering then at Specialty Vehicles Inc. until the past year. Specialty Vehicles used it for testing Saleen manufactured performance cars. Sensor is from the 1960's but they have not changed since then. This sensor was tested and is WORKING. It comes with quite a few brackets for attaching to back bumpers, chassis, etc. Almost always have to make an intermediate bracket. Below picture of one of these from today. They perform the same way. Technology has not changed. The B/W photo in the above is of the exact Weston unit that I am selling from the late 60's. These use a spring on the bracket to keep a down force applied to the wheel to maintain best contact with the ground. The Fifth Wheel will come packed in the original wooden crate. It will ship freight due to size weight. approx 125 # and 17" x 30" x 47" also in photos. If you are only interested in the instrumentation, I can remove it and ship it without the wheel / bracket for MUCH CHEAPER SHIPPING. Kia's Forte Super Bowl ad features violent android lady
Fri, 01 Feb 2013There's no Jimmy Cliff or Flaming Lips in Kia's Super Bowl ad for the new Forte, but we can't help thinking they're the second company this week to miss out on co-opting seminal New Jersey punk outfit the Misfits' “We Are 138.” While attaching the song to the unveiling of Ferrari's new F138 was a no-brainer from a numerically synergistic standpoint, the track's poppy brutality and ominous query, “Is it time to be an android, not a man?” dovetails perfectly with the rise-of-the-sexy-machines theme of the Kia clip. Clearly, the android in this spot -- portrayed by former Miss USA Alyssa Campanella -- has the upper hand over the poor schnook oiling up the new Forte with his greasy mitts. We can't help thinking the whole ad would've been better if the Misfits' original pint-size vocal dynamo Glenn Danzig had been involved somehow.

Predictably enough, the next turbocharged model - the facelifted 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia - is just round the corner. At the 2015 Geneva motor show, the Italian sports car maker is expected to launch the M458-T, otherwise known as the revised Ferrari 458 Italia.
