About the Author

A veteran magazine writer/photographer, Andy Finkbeiner has created scores of articles for Popular Hot Rodding, Mopar Action, and Mopar Muscle. Finkbeiner bought his first Mopar, a 1965 Dodge Coronet, while in college. That Coronet came with a 426W engine that started the author on the path of many big-block projects. Finkbeiner lives with his wife and two kids in Wilsonville, Oregon. The BMW 1 Series Coupe & Convertible get a 2011 Facelift To be entirely accurate, the 2011 BMW 1 Series Facelift isn’t across the board – at least not yet. What we are getting – at the Detroit Motor Show next month – is a modest refresh to the cosmetics on the BMW 1 Series Coupe and BMW 1 Series Convertible plus a bit of an oily tweak. On the cosmetic front the 2011 1 Series gets some new light front and back – headlight tweaks, L-shaped tail lights and LEDs front and back – and a new splitter that BMW says creates an air curtain to improve CO2 and reduce drag.

Deuce Coupes and Roadsters to highlight New England auction

Michiganders don't have to wait for the Woodward Dream Cruise to see an epic car collection in their home state. Car collector Ken Lingenfelter, cousin of the renowned NHRA racer John Lingenfelter, is opening his private garage--er, warehouse--to the public this Saturday. For $15, guests can see Ken Lingenfelter's collection of more than 150 vehicles, with proceeds going to the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology.
