This is a 1953 Evinrude 7.5 in original condition. Last fall we pulled this motor, cleaned points, installed plugs, and it ran amazing. Started easily, worked great, but I did not have a prop to fit it. The other day I ran across an original prop. I installed it and put the motor in the tank, but it would not start. I opened the fuel line running to the carb and nothing came out. As I let it set, gas slowly started making it down to the carb, then it would start in 1-2 pulls. It would run until it ran out of gas. The clutch works properly for forward and neutral, spin motor for reverse. Built in tank is clean and in nice condition. Look over pictures, nicest example I have seen of this particular motor.
Local pickup is free. If the motor is shipped, a $50 crating fee is included in the shipping price. The motor is available for local pickup and inspection in SW Michigan.
Years used and HP are provided as a guide. If your motor is fits both criteria it still may not be correct for your motor!
Please check the boats.net link (if provided) to see if it will work on your motor before contacting us. If you have a Mercury motor the boats.net links do not show the models very well anymore.

Sharing the stage with the BMW i3 at the Frankfurt motor show is the BMW Concept X5 eDrive. The plug-in hybrid X5 is set to re-write the SUV rulebook with its four-cylinder petrol-electric drivetrain producing claimed figures of less than 90g/km of CO2 and a tree-hugging 74.3mpg, smashing the Lexus RX450h which produces 145g/km and 44.8mpg. What’s more, it’s better than the most efficient 3-series currently on sale, and far more frugal than the V8-powered BMW X6 Active Hybrid that was axed in late 2011.

Nissan are recalling a number of Qashqai, Qashqai+2 and NV200 vans in the UK after the steering wheel fell of a Qashqai in Finland. As problems with cars go, having the steering wheel fall off in your hands is not one you need to be a mechanic to diagnose. That’s exactly what happened to a Nissan Qashqai driver in Finland who found his steering wheel had parted company with the steering column when he was parking his car.

The Science Museum in London, UK is hosting the Japan Car: Designs for the Crowed Globe exhibition, sponsored by seven Japanese automobile manufacturers. An exploration of the car as a 'mobile cell', the exhibition has been conceived by graphic designer Kenya Hara and architect Shigeru Ban to show how Japanese design reflects the 'soil and spirit' of Japan, depicted by concept cars and models specific to the Japanese market. Speaking to Car Design News, Shigeru Ban explained how the automobile was chosen as the central element to the exhibition because it is a reflection of Japanese culture and tradition.
