***LOCAL PICKUP ONLY - CINCINNATI, OHIO***

Vintage Weaver Mfg. Balloon Tire Spreader.

This has been in my grandfather's garage for 40 years. He operated a service station many years ago in Cincinnati.

Patent date is June 3, 24.

Overall good condition. The spring is attached, and the foot pedal locks into place. I'm not familiar with all the parts, but I didn't notice anything missing. It seems to be in original working condition. There is just minor surface rust, as you would expect. It is very sturdy.

Neat old piece of equipment. It's quite large, so this will only be available for local pickup in Cincinnati, Ohio within three weeks of auction close, preferably over a weekend. I also have an old Henderson Tire Changer for sale on Ebay.

Please e-mail any questions. Thanks.

Yorkshire composer makes music from car sounds

Sun, 25 Mar 2012

Car Sounds Music by Mark Marrington Yorkshire composer Mark Marrington has created ‘Dance Music with a vehicular Twist’ in a composition using car sounds. Making ‘music’ from car sounds is nothing new. If you’re a Top Gear fan you’ll remember music maestro James May doing something similar with TG’s theme tune Jessica to some derision, and the boys clicked and shut a trio of BL’s best to the tune of Pink Floyd’s ‘Money’.

Aston Martin and AMG working on new V8 engines The collaboration deal between Aston Martin and AMG has moved to another level with the announcement that the two companies are working on a new V8 engine for Aston Martin. Aston Martin and AMG signed a letter of intent in July to kick off their technical partnership, and the news the companies are working together on a new V8 engine – which will probably first be seen in a new V8 Vantage – is the first fruits of the deal. A statement from AML and AMG said they are planning to expand their agreement to work on sharing electronic components and will “investigate additional areas of operation”.

Jaguar to build six brand-new E-Types

Wed, 14 May 2014

Well this is a bit of a shock: Jaguar has announced that it is to start building the E-Type again, after production ceased in 1975. So much for the new F-Type proving popular… No, Jaguar hasn’t gone mad. It’s actually building six re-creation 'Lightweight' E-Types, with the aim of selling them to wealthy historic racing enthusiasts.
