Bottineau, North Dakota, United States
Unused old Stock
Brand:Firestone Interchange Part Number:Replaces other Cartridges for the 49-53 Buick St.8 Manufacturer Part Number:3-A-154 PF-105

If you collect oil cans etc. this would make a cool addition to the collection; these filters are unused but as old as they are I'm not too sure how the filtering material would stand up under use as they were made over 50 years ago but they make a cool display. I worked in a Gas Station in the mid to late sixties and this type of filter wasn't seen often then as most vehicles had already converted to the spin on filter. This particular filter fit the 1949-53 Buick Straight Eight and a number of other vehicles including all Military Standard Junior Cartridges.

These would make a great item for swap meets, oil related or automotive related; how many of us are left that remember that these old filters not only had paper inside but on the top and bottom also.  I am guessing these are also rather rare; some company is likely still making a comparable filter for these old vehicles but Firestone closed the plant that made these a long time ago.

This auction is for 9 of these filters.  Will ship in the original case from Firestone

It is possible depending where you are located UPS could be less, if you want me to check UPS rates before paying please request an invoice and I will check, your ship to address cannot be a P.O. box.

Trevor’s Back! TVR sold to new British owner

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

TVR sold to a new British owner, Les Edgar TVR – once the pride of Blackpool – effectively disappeared from the car scene in 2006 when its Russian owner, Nikolai Smolensky, shuttered up TVR just two years after he bought it from Peter Wheeler and last yeare announced there would never be another TVR. But it now seems TVR has been sold to a British businessman, Les Edgar, who has bought the rights to the TVR name and the right to manufacture parts for existing cars. So far, the only evidence of a return is a new splash page on the TVR website (pictured above) which tells us that TVR are ‘Roaring Back’.
