A very nice looking and classically styled, used Arrow tach which had been mounted on a 1973 Skiroule snowmobile. The sled had a Sachs engine and the tach worked great on it before I dismantled the snowmobile for parts. I suspect that the Sachs was likely a 2 Pole ignition but I am not certain and there are no markings on this tach saying whether it is a 2, 3, 4, or 6 pole unit. It fits into a 3" diameter hole. Snake surprise for garage mechanics
Fri, 01 Aug 2014MECHANICS attempting to jump-start a car were given a shock when they found a snake under the bonnet. Garage workers in Kelty in Fife called out animal charity the Scottish SPCA after they discovered the 2ft (0.6m) corn snake in the engine of the Fiat Punto they were working on. The reptile, which has been named Punto, is now being looked after at the Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Balerno.
