Frugal new entry-level Audi Q3 1.4 TFSI

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Audi has launched a new entry-level Q3 1.4 TFSI, available with front-wheel drive only. It’s billed as an alternative to the Audi Q3 2.0 TDI, and so potent is the turbocharged petrol engine, it shouldn’t be seen as a poor relation. On Bing: see pictures of the Audi Q3 Find out how much a used Audi Q3 costs on Auto Trader The Q3 1.4 TFSI develops 150hp between 5,000 and 6,000rpm, and maximum of torque of 184lb ft from 1,750 to 3,000rpm.

Car buying, minus the dealership

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

“Test drives delivered” is the motto of Tred, a Seattle-based startup that's taking the car dealership out of the car-buying process -- at least from the shopper's perspective. Wired.com reported Thursday that by accessing Tred via the Web or an iPad app, shoppers will be able to select the cars they want to test-drive and have them delivered to the location of their choice. Each car is then delivered by a Tred staffer rather than a dealership salesperson.

2014 Audi R8 to drop manual gearbox

Tue, 27 Dec 2011

2014 Audi R8 to lose manual gearbox It’s reported that the new Audi R8 – due in 2104 after a facelift in 2012 – will lose the manual gearbox option. It’s at least two years before the next generation Audi R8 arrives in 2014, but if reports from CAR are right then Audi’s next sporting flagship will do without a manual gearbox altogether. With all that’s on offer in the current R8 apart from the manual ‘box being the rather poor R-Tronic ‘box, that may seem like a recipe for sales disaster for the R8.
