Car Design News will be reporting live – via Twitter – from the Vehicle Design MA Degree Show 2010 at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London on the afternoon of Thursday, 24 June (after 13:00 GMT).  The CDN team will be attending the show and interviewing the RCA's student designers, researchers, tutors, alumni, automotive experts and other professionals in attendance from the design community. We'll be posting all our news, photos, video clips and interviews to CDN's Twitter site so CDN's audience can get a real insight into innovative, future transport solutions from some of the world's most talented vehicle design students. 2014 Honda Civic LX recalled over tire issue

Honda is recalling 9,816 Civic LX sedans and coupes from the 2014 model year due to a potential tire issue. The problem concerns the mounting of the tires -- Honda believes the tire bead may have gotten pinched between the assembly equipment and the steel wheel rims, which in turn may have caused damage to the tire. This problem could potentially cause the tire to lose air, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

Mercedes-Benz, BMW both post record September sales

Not only are the German horsepower wars still going strong, but if this next bit of news isn't evidence of German sales wars, then we don't know what is. BMW sold 189,675 vehicles worldwide during the month of September, an increase of 6.7 percent over the previous year, which also made it the best September sales month for the automaker. This comes with a small asterisk -- namely, that figure includes Mini and Rolls-Royce sales, though if we're talking just BMW-badged vehicles, the September sales totaled 158,029 (still a 7.6 percent increase over September of 2012).
