Rolls-Royce and Bentley (pre-war) exhaust cut-out lever warning plate.  English law did not permit the use of an exhaust cut-out, but it was OK on the Continent!  This plate surrounds the lever on the front center floorboard which controls the exhaust cut-out mechanism on pre-war Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars.  If your Rolls-Royce or Bentley has an exhaust cut-out, it is probably missing this plate.  In over 50 years in the hobby, I have never seen another one for sale.  When new it was usually painted black with red lettering.  I would suggest restoring this plate with new black and red paint, or polishing the steel and touching up the red lettering.  Other antique English automobiles may also have a cut-out lever which this plate may fit.  Size: 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) high, 3 inches (7.6cm) wide.  The opening for the lever is approx. 1 5/8 inch (4.1 cm) x 5/8 inch (1.6cm).  I am not a dealer - just cleaning out my years of collecting.  Please contact with any questions or regarding international shipping.  Also please look at my other items currently listed on eBay.  Thank you.
