You will be purchasing a Data CD containing the following:

1. Raven "Kitfox" Plans and Manual
The Kitfox plans on this CD are in two sizes, full-size and study-size (both sets are in PDF file format). The full-size plans will have to be taken to a professional print shop or "office store" since most folks cannot print the 42"x36" paper size that is optimal for this presentation. Also included is a 'slide show' presentation to make it easy for you to use your favorite web browser to view the plans on your computer. Internet access is not needed for this. You will also find a very informative and helpful manual that covers aspects of the construction/assembly, as well as operational procedures and flight characteristics/specifications.

2. J1-B "Don Quixote" Plans & Manual
The J-1B, also known as the 'Don Quichote', is a 'pusher' type of craft. This means the engine and prop are located behind the cocpit instead of the more-common position in front on the 'nose' of the craft. Included in this area of the CD are the plan set and the builders' manual. The plans are in PDF format as well as CAD-file (DWG) format. The builders' manual is a PDF file.

3. "Half-VW" Engine Conversion
OK! So you're going to build one (or both) of the ultralight planes on this CD. So now you need to power it (that propeller is not going to spin by itself!). This section of the CD describes how to take a common air-cooled Volkswagen engine and just about literally cut it in half to use on an ultralight plane as the aircraft powerplant. This is not hard to accomplish if you are reasonably fluent in things that go on in an auto shop, and if you don't mind working with metal.

If you bought all three of these CDs from my individual listings for these items, your total cost would be over $30! but now you can get ALL THREE at a HUGE saving !!! See the special LOW PRICE at the top of this listing.

NOTE

  1. This item is a Data CD and must be used on your computer.
  2. This CD will not work on a stand-alone CD/DVD/BluRay player on home-entertainment device.
  3. You wll need a PDF File Viewer (such as Acrobat Reader) installed on your computer.
  4. A Graphic File Viewer (IrfanView recommended) or a Web Browser is needed to view the Graphics. The Kitfox 'slide show' uses your web browser but not the internet.
  5. You will need a CAD-file utility to use the 'DWG' files on this CD.
  6. Internet Access is not needed to use this CD other than to download any viewer software you need.
PDF file viewers, graphic file viewers and CAD-file utilities are available on the Internet for free downloading and free use.

Ford Ka at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By Gavin Green Motor Shows 02 October 2008 10:26 Ford’s latest Ka – high style meets low cost – makes its bow at the Paris show. It’s a funky little thing based on the Fiat 500/Panda, and built in the same Polish factory. It dials up driving brio and youthful appeal compared with the industrial Panda and the mature chic of the 500 and will likely follow its successful predecessor as Britain’s best-selling baby car.

Daimler considers building Mercedes C-class in U.S.

Wed, 23 Sep 2009

Daimler AG could move some production of the Mercedes-Benz C-class to the United States from Germany, a German newspaper reported Wednesday. The Stuttgarter Zeitung said some C-class production could be transferred to the carmaker's plant in Vance, Ala., from Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart, as part of a wider production shakeup planned by Daimler to reduce costs. In the future, the C-class sedan could be built in three locations: Bremen, Germany; Vance, Ala., and in China, the newspaper said.

Solar-powered family car can do 370 miles on a sunny day

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

This solar-powered family car – aptly named ‘Stella’ by the student team behind the project at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Holland – is truly revolutionary. Apart from proving engineers do have a sense of humour with the name, this all carbonfibre creation can travel over 370 miles on a sunny day and actually contribute energy back to the grid, making this the world’s first ever ‘energy-positive’ car. This has amazing implications for the future… Click on the image above to read more about Stella, the solar-powered family car
