Promech, Professional Mechanics Formula Penetrating Oil was developed and used by a small circle of professional mechanics, Hot Rod shops, and restoration professionals. It is now available to the public. Promech Penetrating Oil is faster acting and more effective at freeing up rusted, corroded, or seized fasteners and parts than anything currently available. It has also shown to work very well in cases of “galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals”, such as the seizing of a steel bolt in an aluminum block. Save time, money and those valuable parts.
Promech has developed a penetrating lube, that is faster acting and more effective at freeing up rusted, corroded, or seized fasteners and parts than anything currently available. It is not intended as a universal lubricant. Promech concentrated their efforts on developing the penetrating part of the formula. After all, the slipperiest substance on earth is not going to loosen that rusted bolt and nut if it cannot get in there to work. It has also shown to work very well in cases of “galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals”, such as the seizing of a steel bolt in an aluminum block.
Promech has also shown unique properties such as actually “fizzing” the corrosion out, as well as the ability to “creep and climb” into the seized fasteners. Just as we did last year with car April Fool stuff, it seems to make more sense to do a roundup of what hilarious pranks the motoring world – renowned for its sense of humour – has conjured up this year for your mirth than to run separate stories. BMW M3 pickup: BMW had one of its jolly japes for this year spoilt somewhat when spy shots of an M3 pickup were taken at the Nurburgring. But sources at BMW admitted it was part of a April Fools Day plan.

A London court has found former design student Guy Lloyd-Parker guilty of blackmailing US car designers. The London College of Fashion graduate had claimed that 95 car design sketches were stolen from him by two college lecturers in 1994, eventually resurfacing as final designs in the form of the Audi TT, BMW Z3, Mazda RX-8 and the Volvo XC90. Lloyd-Parker, having failed to successfully sue the college, began sending menacing letters to California-based Volvo Design Director Geza Loczi, former BMW and Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker, and ex-Mazda designer Tsutomu Matano demanding £90,000.
