Why the Stingray's $52K sticker should come with an asterisk

General Motors resisted the urge to jack up the price on the 2014 Corvette Stingray, despite major enhancements on the seventh-generation sports car. The $51,995* sticker for the coupe, which is expected to hit showrooms by September, is just 1,400 bucks more than the current model, even with its more powerful engine, better fuel economy and vastly improved interior. Chrysler Sebring

Chrysler has shown pictures of the 2007 Sebring, a mid-sized sedan that will enter production in America later this year. New from the ground up, the dynamic exterior borrows cues from the Crossfire in the front three-quarter, while a part-masked C-pillar helps accentuate the Sebring's arched cab, eschewing the 'chopped' look of the larger 300C. The urbane interior features an IP with a broad panel theme, reminding slightly of the Mercedes-Benz CLS/> It will be available from launch with the option of two V6 engines and, unusually, a new four-cylinder motor that produces 172PS from 2.4 liters.

Who's Where: New Design Directors Appointed at PSA

PSA Peugeot Citroen has announced the appointment of Gilles Vidal to Design Director for Peugeot and Thierry Metroz to fill the Design Director position at Citroën. Both Vidal and Metroz will report to PSA Group Design Director Jean-Pierre Ploué when they start their new roles on January 4, 2010. The Design Director positions at both Peugeot and Citroen have effectively been left vacant since Jean-Pierre Ploue was promoted to lead the Group's design efforts in October 2008.
