2013 Subaru Forester revealed

Thu, 01 Nov 2012

The new Subaru Forester – a 2014 Forester for the US – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show this month. The Forester still looks like a Forester although it is a bit longer, wider and taller and gets a longer wheelbase which, say Subaru, means more space in the back seats and more room ion the boot. There are cosmetic tweaks with a crease running down the flanks under the window line, a new grill and bumpers, new alloys and a more slick feel to the looks. There’s extra toys too with a new Infotainment centre with smartphone integration, SatNav with reversing camera and a nice upmarket Harmon Kardon sound system.

Tesla ‘D’ is a 4WD Model S – with up to 682bhp!

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

The Tesla Model S P85D – 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds We knew Elon Musk was planning on delivering a four-wheel-drive Tesla Model S, and now we know the Tesla Model D Musk alluded to is exactly that – a dual motor Model S. But it gets more interesting. It gets more interesting because Tesla has come up with more than one 4WD Model S, with the Model S 60D and 85D getting a 188bhp motor on both front and rear axles, with the 60D getting to 62mph in 5.7 seconds with a range of 225 miles and the 85D getting to 60mph in 5.2 seconds with a range of 295 miles.

Schumacher & Rosberg: A pregnant pause

Tue, 12 Apr 2011

Michael & Nico compete to help a pregnant damsel in distress. Those crazy Germans, they do like to josh with us. Since Mercedes now has an all German team we wonder if they’re trying a bit too hard to prove there’s a human face to the team, and it’s not all just Teutonic and robotic (and not, as yet, stunningly successful).
