How to Use Car Cigarette Lighter?
Most cars are equipped with cigarette lighters that have the dual function of lighting a cigarette and powering various types of car accessories. Just Like the other accessories in your car, the cigarette lighter is powered by the car battery, so we must be sure that the car battery is strong enough to power and start the engine vehicle all the time.
  • 1.First you must ensure that there are equipped with a cigarette lighter adapter in your car, it is a circular or bulb-shaped unit and has a metallic pin on the end. Some car accessories with adapter include radar detectors, cell phone chargers, MP3 players and GPS devices.
  • 2.You can remove the burner unit or cap which comes standard in most cars, then plug the accessory´s adapter into the lighter.
  • 3.Start up the car. It is simple to put the ignition into "Accessories" mode as well in some vehicles to send power to the lighter.
  • 4. Now, you can turn on car cigarette lighter and use it as necessary, plug and play. Free to connect with radar detectors, cell phone chargers, MP3 players and GPS devices etc. And the car cigarette lighter will switch off automatically when you turn off the car and remove the keys from the ignition, save any settings on the device at the same time.

Tips for lighting a Cigarette in Your Car
  • 1.If you like smoke in the car, you´d better keep the cigarettes or lighter handy just in case. And try to wait until you´re at a red light when you want to light cigarettes in the car. Don´t do this while changing lanes or making a turn!
  • 2.You should put the other hand on the wheel while you are smoking and keep your eyes on the road at all times.
  • 3.The cigarette lighter will be a good substitute compared with matches to light the cigarette.
  • 4.You must keep the cigarette in your mouth and put both hands on the wheel at the same time when you want to make a turn or change lanes.
  • 5.You´d better roll down the window to clear the air, and keep a ashtray in your car.
  • 6.You should take the plug out from the socket to prevent the leakage when the car stop operation for a long time.

The BMW M5 ‘30 Jahre M5’ has an extra 39bhp from a tweaked version of its 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, plus there’s a smattering of special trim and anniversary badging, and just 300 will be built. Apparently ‘this power boost has been achieved through carefully calculated tweaks to the engine management and an increase in charge pressure’.

Bugatti Galibier - it’s the new Royale (2010): the first official photo

Wed, 15 Jul 2009

By Tim Pollard (two artist's impressions of blue car by R.Varicak/MotorForecast) First Official Pictures 15 July 2009 16:56 These are the first official glimpses of the new Bugatti Royale – the legendary limousine reinvented for the 21st century. Bugatti is readying the new Royale to celebrate the company’s centenary this autumn, where it will be shown to prospective customers on the eve of the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. We’ll be the first to admit that the original teaser photo, scanned from a VIP invite by an eagle-eyed CAR reader, doesn’t reveal too much of the new Bugatti Royale – but today a second image popped up on Pistonheads which we've reproduced here, revealing more of the Rapide.
