Interior Motives announces shortlist for Student Design Awards 2009

Interior Motives magazine, sister publication of Car Design News, has revealed its shortlist for the seventh annual Interior Motives Design Awards. Handed down by a ten-strong panel of industry experts, the shortlist will be further reviewed before three finalists and a winner for each of the eight categories - and the overall competition winner - is ultimately selected and awarded on the eve of the second press day of the Frankfurt auto show. BMW Zagato Coupe revealed at Villa D’Este

BMW Zagato Coupe The BMW Zagato Coupe – a one-off concept BMW designed by Zagato – has been revealed at the  Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Whilst we’re busy keeping a watchful eye out for the arrival of the new Aston Martin DBS at the  Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this weekend, up pops a one-off concept from event sponsors BMW – the BMW Zagato Coupe. Looking like a BMW Z4 with Italian panache in spades (which is what we expect it to be under the skin – BMW aren’t saying) it looks like Aston Martin will have extra competition in the Concept Car category this weekend from BMW with the Zagato Coupe.

CAFA Degree Show 2011

The 2011 Central Academy of Fine Arts recently held its annual transportation design degree show, themed '2053 sea, land and air amphibious transportation and entertainment design'. Lead by Professor Edward Wong, director of the school's transportation design department, China's leading design school asked students to exert their creativity whilst being conscious of advanced technologies and material applications. The brief called for the next generation of vehicles for the future and whatever environments this may present.
