Mercury/Quicksilver item no. 56144. Double-sheave; used for Ford-based Mercruiser engines, c. 1970-1977; probably others such as OMC Cobra. Be sure of your specific application before ordering. This pulley is new from factory, shiny black-painted, hard to find in this condition. Ours was first removed from manufacturer's original packaging only for photographing. Brits take the world steam land speed record – twice +video

An improvement of around 1mph a decade. Still, a challenge is a challenge, and the team on the British Steam Car Challenge rose to the occasion.
Lotus Evora – first customer car delivered

Evoras are now running down the production line and will be up to full production levels by November. Lotus has an order book that fills the next five months already, and they’ve taken on 150 extra workers to cope with demand.
Bentley Continental GT – Pop Art
Sun, 05 Jul 2009The Bentley Pop Art - created by Pop Artist Romero Britto So it’s quite startling to see a Bentley Continental GT with a paint job by renowned ‘Pop Artist to the Stars’ Romero Britto, who has created this one-off Continental GT – donated by Bentley Motors – for an exhibition in Germany at Automobil Forum Unter den Linden, which runs from 10th July until 6th September. But as I’m sure you’ll have guessed, this is not just a Pop Art paint job for the sake of it. The Pop Art Bentley will be auctioned off at the end of the exhibition in aid of the Nathalie Todenhöfer Foundation for multiple sclerosis and Best Buddies, a charity for the mentally challenged – which is all very noble – and good on Bentley for donating the Continental GT.
