This has an 8-pin, 20' harness, used on a variety of Mercury Marine models; may be applicable to others as well. Previously such systems have been the preserve of sports cars and performance-orientated hatchbacks, and definitely not off-roaders. CAR Online has tested the SST system in the new Evo X and been impressed by the speed and quality of the gearchange.

The Toyota Recall for the sticky accelerator affected a rather significant 180,965 cars in the UK alone.
