Working rectifier / voltage limiter off motor that blew a rod. Diodes [these units have two] test OK.
Brand:MerCruiser Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Manufacturer Part Number:99502A13

Good used 'voltage regulator' off MerCruiser 3.7 liter [224 cubic inch] aluminum block 4-cyl  engine  Motor was in production from 1976 to 1991 with model numbers 470, 170, 165, 488, 190, and 3.7LX.  While commonly termed the 'voltage regulator' it is in actuality a voltage RECTIFIER [AC-to-DC conversion] and a voltage LIMITER for the charging system; it doesn't actually 'regulate' the stator output since that has permanent magnets.  Whatever you call it, it's an expensive dealer part - over $500 - and still expensive from aftermarket sources like CDI Electronics; last aftermarket price I saw on these is $324. This one was pulled from a blown-up engine and the rectifier diodes are working so it's good for continued service at a cheap price.

Tue, 29 Nov 2011

Bentley's collaboration with timepiece creator Breitling is a well-established one, which stretches back years. The latest coming together between the luxury brands is in commemoration of Juha Kankkunen's world-record-breaking jaunt on the frozen Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland. Earlier this year, four-time World Rally Champion Kankkunen piloted the biofueled Supersports convertible to a – frankly incredible – top speed of 205.48mph off the coast of Finland.
