Melling 10687 Performance Oil Pump with intermediate shaft SB Ford 260 289 302 Standard-Volume Adjustable-Pressure Melling Select oil pump for the following Ford engines 1962-65 260ci 1963-68 289ci 1968-2001 302ci (5.0L)HO 10687 is standard volume performance upgrade for M-68. Gerotor set assembled to an extended drive shaft
that allows for additional support in the cover. Supporting the drive shaft in both the housing and cover
eliminates dynamic shaft deflection at increased RPM levels. The cover is doweled to the pump housing
to assure alignment of shaft bores. The housing and cover are CNC machined and phosphate coated for
wear and rust prevention. The relief valve has a pressure adjustable screw-in plug instead of a cup plug. Works with the original bolt-on pickup screen assemblies. Uses 5/8” bolt on screen. Part No. 10687
Melling oil pumps provide dependable performance every time in every application. Every pump is engineered, manufactured and assembled to the highest material and production standards. Manufacturing processes include state of the art CNC machines and the latest phosphate coating processes. Melling oil pumps are manufactured from high quality materials in either cast iron or cast aluminum as specified by the OEM engine manufacturer. Internal pump parts are produced from sintered metal or steel. Gears are machined to close tolerances to ensure proper engine pressure and correct, efficient pump operation. End plates are precision ground for maximum ware resistance. Depending on application and design, Melling pumps may use gear, impeller or the latest gerotor technology. When completed every Melling oil pump is individually tested for pressure and flow under conditions designed to duplicate actual engine operating conditions. In addition to OEM pump applications, Melling Select pumps are offered for increased oil flow, increased oil pressure, anti-cavitation capability, lighter pump weight and performance when needed. Depending on your oil pump requirements Melling Select pumps are offered in cast iron, cast aluminum or aluminum billet materials. Each Melling Select pump performance level offers a step up in material selection, engineering advantages and increased durability. Maserati and Poltrona Frau showcasing continuing collaboration
Wed, 20 Jun 2012Maserati and Poltrona Frau are showcasing their continuing collaboration in automotive design in a weeklong exhibition at Design Centre at Chelsea Harbor, London. From 18 until 22 June the glass domes of Design Centre will play host to a Maserati GranCabrio Sport as well as one of Poltrona Frau's skilled artisan upholsterers working on a chair throughout the week in a demonstration of traditional Italian craftsmanship. Poltrona Frau, the international high-end furniture company, has realized the interiors of the entire Maserati range – including the Quattroporte saloon, GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible – through its 100-year history of leather working and handcraftsmanship.

Mon, 03 Feb 2014Aston Martin won’t be using ‘Powered by AMG’ badges It was a long time coming, but Aston Martin finally found a way to replace their ageing engines by doing a deal with Mercedes AMG to use their very impressive powerplants. And it seems that, depite AMG’s willingness to provide Aston Martin with modern engines, AML aren’t going to be required to put AMG badges on the bodywork or engines of their very beautiful cars. Speaking to Autocar, Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche said that Mercedes were very happy to have done a deal with AML and equally as happy to be subtle about the arrangement.
