Condition Statement: These Grips were damaged during shipping and have sustained minor rust and discolorations. They do not meet our strict quality requirements for retail sale. We are selling them as a lot with no warranty, returns or exchanges accepted.
These grips are made of CNC Billet Aluminum and feature a Dragon Scale pattern that adds texture to the grip body. The inside is a full length rubber compression sleeve allowing your clutch side grip to be installed without adhesive. The Throttle Grip includes the Tube and should be installed using an appropriate adhesive. Attached end caps can be replaced with Bar Ends but will require modification to the grip.

Install Notes: Remove your old grips from the handlebar. Then clean all of the glue and dirt residue from the throttle plastic and the handlebar. To slide them on easier, we recommend using warm soapy water or glass cleaner; these liquids will evaporate upon drying. Do not use petroleum based lubricants as they will leave a slick residue, allowing the grip to slide off easily while riding. Do not use compressed air or a screwdriver to install as this could result in blowing out the side or damaging the graphics. If you want to replace the caps for Bar Ends, you will have to modify the grips by cutting the end out; by modifying you void warranty. To start we recommend using a sharp X-Acto knife and with the grips installed, simply cut the end out using the inner wall of the Handlebars as a guide. Additional trimming may be required to facilitate proper Throttle Control with Bar Ends installed.

It’s not easy advertising your wares and finding the right balance between mainstream and innovative to capture attention, as Hyundai has found out to their cost with an ‘advert’ for the hydrogen powered ix35 FCEV which, rather distastefully, depicts a man trying to commit suicide by running a hose from the tailpipe to the cabin before realising he can’t achieve his aim as the FCEV’s only emissions are water. It’s a proper cock-up from Hyundai – usually so sure-footed with their PR – but, despite Hyundai US putting the blame at the door of Hyundai UK, there’s more to this suicide ‘advert’ than meets the eye. It seems the suicide video was put together by Innocean – a European Ad Agency owned by Hyundai’s Chairman Chung Mong-koo and his daughter, and responsible for much of Hyundai’s marketing output – and was a clumsy attempt to gauge reaction to the somewhat macabre take on the benefits of an FCEV.
