By Ben Barry Motor Shows 04 March 2008 17:35 What’s new on Aston’s stand? Nothing. After a flurry of activity pre-Ford sale (V8 Vantage Roadster and DBS) and the recent V12 Vantage RS, it’s not surprising to find Aston Martin in something of a lull at Geneva.

Concept Car of the Week: Bizzarrini Manta (1968)

In the latter half of 1965, Giotto Bizzarrini began working on a racing car designed to compete with the Ford GT40, Ferrari 250P and the Porsche 906. The result was the P538, his most sophisticated car to date. The first two examples built were fitted with Lamborghini V12 engines and sold to American buyers to compete in SCCA races, while the third used a highly modified 5.4-liter V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette.

The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack – a rufty-tufty ‘Crossover’ Golf With the world falling in love with cars that do things they’ll almost never need, car makers are filling more and more niches with new models that have an element of Off Road ability. Step forward the new 2015 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. Just as they did with the Passat Alltrack, VW has taken the Estate version and made it a bit more butch, in effect turning it in to a sort of ‘Crossover’ Golf with the ability to take on (slightly) more rugged terrain.
