Jaguar F-Type with Black Pack is Firesand Orange: LA Auto Show

The Jaguar F-Type has had its North American debut at the Los Angles Auto Show complete with Black Pack and Design Pack and Firesand paintwork. But rather than roll out the standard models we’ve seen so far – the V6, V6 S and V8 S – Jaguar decided it ought to gild the lily a bit by rolling out an F-Type with a chunk of options bolted in so the Americans could see just how they could customise their own F-Type. Peugeot 208 Hybrid FE (2013) at Frankfurt motor show

Here’s Peugeot’s salvo in the fight to make cars more economical: the 208 Hybrid FE. The supermini concept can achieve a claimed average of 112mpg (and a maximum of 141mpg), and emits only 49g/km of CO2. Peugeot is especially keen to point out it’s a conventionally shaped supermini with five seats, unlike VW’s own super-frugal XL1, which looks decidedly sci-fi in comparison, but has a smaller boot than a Ferrari 458… The 208 FE is 25% slipperier and 20% lighter than a regular 208, but that’s only part of the reason it allegedly achieves such eye-opening numbers at the pumps.

The Saab 9-3 ePower - will spawn a 70 car test fleet fo electric Saabs It’s great to see Saab back doing what a car maker should be doing, instead of fighting for survival under the cosh of the big, bad Yanks. Sadly, Saab are doing what much of the car world is also doing; paying lip service to the concept of big electric cars. Oh, well.
