New Harley-Davidson Twin Cam “A” 106ci S&S Hot Setup Engine Build

This is a brand new, freshly built Twin Cam 106ci Harley Motor. The top end is comprised completely of performance parts. All parts were purchased new separately and then professionally assembled. It was intended to be installed in a 2007 Road King, but the bike got sold instead. This motor has never been in the frame of a motorcycle and never turned. The bottom end case was purchased from a Midwest dealership that was using it for a counter display. It has a stamped serial number because it was intended by the factory to be used inside of a 2011 103ci Street Glide. However, it ended up as a display and never installed. I bought it and used it as the foundation for this awesome build. I hate to let it go and I’m practically giving it away when you compare the list below, but I don’t have a use for it any longer. I’m selling it as a local pickup, but if someone was willing to pay the shipping, I would package it right and ship it within the continental U.S..

  • Screamin' Eagle Billet Cam Support Plate with High Volume Oil Pump: $428.00

The bottom end is a brand new 2011 Touring Case complete with 4 3/8” Stroker Crank. The case and flywheel assembly was sent to Dan Vance Racing and has been balanced, Trued and welded for strength. Dan Vance also did the Timken Bearing Conversion and confirmed runout at less than .001.: $700.00

 

The motor was installed by a local certified Harley master technician and the installation cost was: $600.00

 

Total cost for this build: $5,700.00

 

The only thing not included is a Throttle body and filter kit. Depending on year Harley 2008 and earlier or 2009 and newer will determine the type of Throttle body to install. An intake filter kit is a personal choice item with too many options and preferences.

Here's the image that has the Web abuzz today--an apparent brochure scan of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL distributed by a European automotive site. Design cues reminiscent of the SLS AMG are unmistakable, and the new SL also takes on a fairly prominent iteration of the corporate front fascia. Underneath, Mercedes is promising a new aluminum architecture that will save weight while boosting rigidity.
