This style heater was used in the 40's on some Chevrolet and Pontiac cars and trucks.
It was removed from a 1941 Chevrolet sedan where it was in good operating condition. The heater has been dry stored for a number of years. The blower fan is operational but a little whinny, (probably from lack of use). The heater core has a repair that is shown in the last picture. The surface finish on the heater box, blower housing and fan motor are in very good condition as seen in the photos. |

New Mercedes A Class to spawn electric version made by Tesla
Sun, 20 May 2012New Mercedes A Class EV on the way via Tesla It would appear that Mercedes-Benz are planning an electric version of the new Mercedes A Class with a powertrain by Tesla. The new Mercedes A Class arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March as the Mercedes answer to the BMW 1 Series, and a very convincing new A Class it looks too. From an entry-level A Class which will get a Renault 1.5 litre dCi lump to deliver a sub-99g/km model all the way up (eventually) to a 4WD, 300bhp AMG A Class, it looks like the new A Class will cover the bases for every buyer, and then some.
Jaguar F-Type public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Jaguar are giving the F-Type development prototype its first public outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s less than three months since we discovered that the C-X16 would be the new Jaguar F-Type, but there’s been plenty of news on the spiritual successor to the E-Type since then, even though it’s the best part of a year before the F-Type launches. We know that the F-Type will come not only with the new supercharged V6 but that there will also be a V8 supercharged version of the F-Type on offer which, if it gets the full fat 550bhp version, will be a very swift cat indeed.
Young Drivers Accident Risk Warning
Tue, 27 May 2014RESEARCH commissioned by the RAC Foundation and carried out by transport research laboratory TRL has found that teenage drivers are involved in almost one in eight road accidents involving injury. Based on nationwide statistics covering five years 2008 to 2012, the survey showed that 11.9% of all road casualties were injured or killed in collisions involving a car driver aged 17-19. This was despite those aged between 17 and 19 making up only 1.5% of licensed drivers.
