Kia K9 (2012) first official pictures
Wed, 02 May 2012Kia has launched its new K9 flagship saloon in Korea. The rear-drive V6-engined saloon, dubbed K9 in Kia's domestic market nomenclature, is a first move upmarket for Hyundai's erstwhile budget brand. CAR picked up word of the new Kia last year, when it seemed that Kia would get a V8-engined flagship to match the range-topping Hyundai Equus.
BMW i Ventures buys in to ParkatmyHouse.com
Fri, 15 Jul 2011BMW i-Ventures invest in ParkatmyHouse.com Earlier this year – when BMW launched their BMW-i Brand – there was also news of a new BMW company – BMW i Ventures – which BMW said they were setting up to invest in interesting stuff related to cars. BMW stated their goal as “…to expand the range of products and services offered by BMW i in the long term by taking stakes in highly innovative service providers”, and their first investment was in to an app business - My City Way – which provides users with information on public transportation, parking availability, and local entertainment. BMW argue – very sensibly – that our fuel usage can be cut by using common sense and new technology.
2013 Rolls Royce Ghost updates
Tue, 30 Oct 2012Three years on from the launch of a Rolls Royce for owner drivers – the RR Ghost – Rolls Royce has made some updates for 2013. Believe it or not, it’s three years since the Rolls Royce Ghost arrived at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as a more ‘Sporty’ take on the RR ethos and aimed at owner-drivers; the sort of chap who’s outgrown big Mercedes and BMW but still likes to drive. Three years on from launch, we’re still waiting for RR to deliver a Ghost Coupe (perhaps the Corniche?) and a Ghost DHC, so when we saw an email from Rolls Royce with 2013 updates we got quite excited.
