Redmond, Oregon, United States
Kit appears not quite complete in accordance with the remains of a very deteriorated packing list; but the only missing items seem labeled as common stock small screws and washers. Box is falling apart, partially missing and inside wrapping is old and crumbled. Though all parts appear in unused condition, there is a little dirt on the knobs and some very slight corrosion on the metal clamp parts.
Manufacturer Part Number:Adapter Model 4316 Warranty:No Other Part Number:Used with Control Unit Model 4300 (not included) Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Placement on Vehicle:Front Part Brand:DELCO RADIO by United Motors Service, Inc. Surface Finish:Chromed metal face and plastic type knobs

NOTE: that only the parts pictured in the listings are the only parts we have for these radios.
Listing here is for a DELCO (United Motors Service, Inc.) RADIO Adapter Package for use with 1938 Ford automobile radio installations.  Kit appears to be New Old Replacement Stock (NORS) for installation with a matching DELCO Radio power box and Radio head connected by cables down to the power box (required matching items NOT included).
This adapter Package contains correctly the shaped radio plate for the original matching radio hole in a 1938 Ford car dash.  We have no absolute knowledge whether this was possibly offered by DELCO as early as 1938 for original fit but likely was manufactured at or near that original year. Several radio manufacturers were competing for sales of radios for the 1930s-1940s car radios.  Many of those car radios were dealer installed after being chosen by the car owner.  NOTE: that the kits nuts, washers and tiny screws are missing; but they are very much common stock parts at many hardware stores.
Radio head face plate (pictured) is chrome plated (still beautiful like new condition) over the metal face.  Kit includes the radio face plate, beautiful knob pair, and rear mount brackets.  These beautiful like new correct knobs are nearly impossible to locate in any condition.  If you have a matching control unit in nice condition, this would assemble into a really great looking radio face in your period Ford dash.  If you also have the radio box and control cables, it will make into a total great radio.  Just not sure whether this DELCO radio would have had the speaker in the box or separately.
This Adapter Package is for use with DELCO Radio Control Unit (head) Model 4300 (not included), and with the matching DELCO Radio Power Unit, speaker and the correct cables for between the head (also not included).  For anyone having the correct radio head to match, this Adapter Package is a great start to a show-time radio head presentation in your show car.

Mercedes SLS AMG DROPPED in the U.S.

Sun, 17 Jun 2012

In what seems a strange move, MBUSU – Mercedes in the States – is dropping the SLS AMG from its range in favour of the SLS AMG GT. When the Mercedes SLS AMG GT was revealed last week we were sure it was a new addition to the SLS range; a more edgy SLS for those wanting a bit more hard-core from their SLS and willing to dig a bit deeper to have one. And it is.

Fight parking tickets with the Fixed app

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

There are those among us, brave warriors in our midst, who battle the demonic and convoluted forces of parking enforcement every chance we get. For innocent victims of bureaucracy, accused perpetrators of victimless crimes who are held hostage by our wallets, we have a new weapon on our side: an app called Fixed that's potentially too good to be true. How this latest San Francisco-based startup app works: first, you take a picture of your parking ticket -- ignoring the nagging voice in your head that says a 13-year old neckbeard hacker from R
