I hesitated putting this up for sale because of the software upgrade necessity. You will need to take this to your local FCA dealer to install the code so the car's computer recognizes that it now has bluetooth. They WILL charge you for this. They may refuse to do this. They sell this exact same kit (usually for more than $300) and may resent that you bought it from me and now expect them to make it work. I can relate. I say the nastiest things about my customers that bring their own parts and expect me to make it function. Do you sometimes go out to breakfast? Do you stop at the grocery first and buy you own eggs.

ANYWAY, Please buy my U-Connect kit! (I'm paying the freight because I feel so bad.)

Porsche reports big drop in sales

Fri, 30 Jan 2009

Well, it’s not exactly a surprise, given the doom and gloom in the industry at the moment, but Porsche has just reported a 27% drop in sales, down to 34,000 units, over the last six months. As you would expect, some models fared worse than others. The recently updated Porsche 911, which has had mid-cycle tweaks including the new PDK ‘box, held up pretty well.

Insurance interest costs motorists millions

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

Most insurers charge a high rate of interest for the privilege of spreading payments out over the year, with the average pay-monthly customer hit by an additional £88. Almost a third of people (31%) pay their car insurance by monthly direct debit, market research from Consumer Intelligence has discovered.

One Lap of the Web: The Weird World of Wheels

-- Introducing the greatest television show you've never heard of: "Operation: Mystery!" Imagine if the "X-Files" took place in 1960s Japan, and had its own cool custom car the heroes rolled around in: the Tortoise, a pudgy little thing that resembled the unholy combination of an Opel GT and a Dustbuster. It was bulletproof (not really), had gullwing doors (really) and was based on a Subaru 360 (really!). Sadly, its whereabouts are unknown, and it might have disappeared into the ether along with the UFOs its heroes probably investigated.
