This auction is for 23 sheets, blue print plans, 24"x48" and 1 sheet 24"x 62" for the : Christavia MK-4 (4 place} home-built aircraft. The sheets are stapled on one end for ease of handling and security.
The MK-4) are plans-built aircraft designed by Ron Mason specifically for missionary flights. Design requirements were for short takeoff and landing, low fuel consumption, low stall speed, good rate of climb, a large cabin area, low maintenance and a high safety factor. It converts from wheels to floats or skis. AIRCRAFT SPRUCE has acquired the design rights to the popular Christavia MK1, Christavia MK2, and Christavia MK-4 (4 place} homebuilt aircraft from the designer, Ron Mason of Elmwood Aviation in Canada. The Christavia was designed in 1982 as a mission field workhorse. Design requirements were short take-off and landing, small engine (low fuel consumption), low stall speed, good cruise speed and rate of climb, large cabin area, low maintenance and high safety factor.The Christavia is easy to fly, and the Iarge cabin makes long flights very comfortable. Over 1000 sets of the plans have been sold for the Christavia MK1 (two place tandem), Christavia MK2 (two place side-by-side), and MK4 (four place). We have an information pack for $10. Called simply '60 Years Unimog', the concept is said to inform the future form language of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle design. Developed jointly by the MBS development team, the Daimler commercial vehicle designers in Sindelfingen and a model designing partner, the Unimog concept was inspired by the poison dart frog, a natie of Central and South America.
