Mazda CX-5 is born from the Mazda Minagi Concept

Mazda CX-5 - the Mazda compact SUV Back at the Geneva Motor Show this year Mazda pitched up with the oddly named Mazda Minagi Concept, a compact SUV which we said would arrive in showrooms as the Mazda CX-5. And it is. Mazda has announced that the CX-5 will be going in to production and that we will be seeing a production-ready version at Frankfurt in September, which suggests that the CX-5 will be in a showroom near you in early 2012.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. New Jaguar XE gets a Stella McCartney makeover for Paris Fashion week

Stella McCartney with the Superhero Jaguar XE Jaguar’s big hope for breaking in to the compact premium sector – the Jaguar XE – and taking on the might of the German premium brands will debut in public at next month’s Paris Motor Show. But actually, it’ll get a bit of an airing before that. As part of Jaguar’s #FeelXE publicity campaign, they’ve enlisted the help of fashion designer Stella McCartney to get the new XE out and about in Paris before the Motor Show debut.
