  • Porsche still celebrating 911 50th birthday (video)

    Sun, 06 Oct 2013

All 7 generations of the Porsche 911 (pictured) ‘sing’ Happy Birthday Car makers do like to make the most of any anniversary they can hang a bit of PR on, and Porsche are no different. 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the, now iconic, Porsche 911 and Porsche has been making PR hay all year with everything from a 50th anniversary 911 to a huge gathering of Porsche 911s at the Silverstone Classic. But now, with just a few months of the 911′s anniversary left to milk the PR, Porsche has put together a video featuring all seven generations of the 911, happily wishing themselves a ‘Happy Birthday’.

UK Motorways hit the big 50

Volkswagen Microbus production could resume in Brazil

    Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Impending legislation that would outlaw the production and importation of cars and trucks without modern safety features such as ABS brakes and airbags was set to put an end to the Kombi production in Brazil, but one lawmaker wants to make an exception for the veteran vehicle, Indian Autos Blog reports. Brazil's finance minister Guido Mantega is arguing that since the Kombi/Microbus has been in production for decades -- before ABS technology and airbags were developed -- it would be unfair to apply the new law to the vehicle.
