Storing classic concept cars is a huge hassle

Preserving this year's hits as the museum pieces of the future is one of the great backroom issues of the auto industry. As the name suggests, the S660 is only billed as a concept. But looking distinctly like an evolution of the 2011 Honda EV-STER show car [note this is a 2011 concept despite the title of a later link…], could it be that the Japanese manufacturer is finally about to build a new sporting model?

We’ve been reporting on BMW’s triple-turbo diesel engine since we broke the news back in 2009 that BMW could be working on a triple turbo option for their 3.0 litre diesel, designed to create an ‘M Diesel’. And it now looks as though that will arrive as the BMW M550d – or a variation on that name – as soon as 2012.
