This is a beautiful restored 1950-51 Mercury Deluxe Hi-Fidelity radio made by Colonial. The radio plays, sounds and functions great. It has beautiful original chrome knobs and very nice original black knobs and push buttons. It is ready to install. Please read description and see pictures for more details.

This is a beautiful restored 1950-51 Mercury deluxe Hi-Fi radio manufactured by Colonial. Servicing of this radio included cleaning and lubrication, new capacitors, great working vibrator, tested tubes, new fuse link with fuse and eye terminal (for easy installation) and two working dial lamps. All of the mechanics function smoothly including the station presets, station selections and manual tuning. The radio plays and sounds great with excellent reception and sensitivity up and down the tuning scale with good tone and strong volume. The four stage tone control (lo noise, hi fidelity, bass, normal) functions fine and adjusts the tone accordingly, as it should. Not only does the radio play well but it is in beautiful cosmetic condition with excellent original knobs, polished push buttons and very nice chrome rear knobs. Please take advantage of the zoom feature for a better view of this fine example 1950-51 Mercury deluxe Hi-Fi radio that sounds great and works fine. These radios are hard to come by especially in this fine restored condition so here is your opportunity to adorn the dash of your classic Mercury with this excellent example that is ready to install. The 'Customised' Toyota iQ for Sports Toyota claim the iQ is the world’s smallest 4 seater production car – and the may well be right. It is certainly a tiny car – but very cleverly packaged – and is in many ways the perfect city car, if a tad on the expensive side. So cleverly packaged is the iQ that Aston Martin have used it for the Cygnet, and rumour has it that BMW will use it for the i-setta range.

Nissan UK Battery plans confirmed

Nissan - the Renault Nissan Alliance - has confirmed plans for car battery production in the UK and Portugal The aim of the battery production plants is to supply batteries for electric cars built by the Renault Nissan alliance, but Nissan haven’t actually said that they will build any electric cars in the UK. Hmm. The target production is 60,000 annually to be used in a range of Nissan and Renault electric cars that will start to hit the market next year (2010) – in the US and Japan – with full global roll-out by 2010.
