Enthusiast demand forces Aston’s hand: V12 Vantage coming America

Fri, 07 May 2010

Thanks to enthusiasts, the most powerful road-going Aston Martin ever is coming to the United States. The British sports-car maker confirmed on Friday that the V12 Vantage--packing 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque--will be sold in North and South America. This is a reversal from a year ago, when Aston tantalizingly showed off the car and promptly said it wasn’t coming here.

Not only did Ford get the first 500 registrations – enough for the entire initial European offering – in the first 30 seconds,  it ended up with a total of 9,300 registrations during the match, and Ford say the lucky 500 ‘winners’ – 130 of them in the UK – will be notified in the next few weeks if they’re getting a new Mustang.

Suzuki Kizashi – Geneva launch

Fri, 29 Jan 2010

Well, it’s Suzuki’s attempt at making a D Segment Car (think Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Insignia) and so far it’s only been available in Japan and North America. But that’s about to change with a European launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
