Antique1914 Michigan License Plates Rare Pair!! Porcelain Over Iron Very Nice!! on 2040-parts.com

These are 1914 cast iron with glazed-on porcelain like finish license plates. The background is white with red letters. The GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN is perfectly clear on both plates.You will notice minor chipping on what I would say was the rear plate. The front plate has more wear and rust along the lower edge but is still solid. I also included photos showing the back of the plates.
When I see old plates being offered elsewhere, there is usually just one. I think it's a bonus to have both. I feel that these are in pretty good condition considering their age.
They measure 4 1/2 x 11 7/8 in.
