Audi A1: American buyers not ready says U.S. chief De Nysschen

Tue, 03 Feb 2009

Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen says the United States and its small-equals-cheap mentality isn't ready for premium subcompacts such as the Audi A1, which goes on sale in Europe later this year. In an interview with Automotive News on Monday, de Nysschen said Audi is "seriously looking" at bringing the A1 to the United States in the car's next generation six to eight years from now. Bringing it here earlier could damage Audi's efforts to build widespread recognition for the brand, he said.

Volvo S40 Review & Road Test: Volvo S40 SE DRIVe Start/Stop (2011) Part 2

Volvo S40 DRIVe Interior - a decent place to be As already noted, the Volvo S40 DRIVe is pretty much a Ford Focus under the skin, which is a more than decent starting point. The Focus has a very good set of road manners and the ability to produce an enjoyable drive. Yet somehow the S40 conspires to be not quite as good as the Focus; much more average than you’d expect when you start to push on.

Lamborghini Jota spotted

Sun, 29 Aug 2010

The Lamborghini Jota snapped on the Autobahn The last news we had on the Lamborghini Jota - Lambo’s replacement for the now quite ancient Murcielago – was a pointless tease for the Jota sent to us in July by Lamborghini with a photo of a Lamborghini bonnet in half shadow replete with Lamborghini badge. Oh, and the highly original strapline: Coming Soon… Which we knew. We’ve been reporting on the Jota for quite some time (and on the halo Lamborghini we expect it to spawn – the Lamborghini Urus) so there are likely no huge surprises – except just how it’s going to look.
