The large lens opening means you have greater peripheral vision and a clearer direct line of site as you navigate your favorite stretch of trail or open desert. Each lens deliver a protective, distortion free view and features both an anti-scratch and anti-fog coating while blocking 100% of the suns harmful UV rays. You can also choose form a variety of replacement lenses including chrome, clear, polarized and race favorite tear-offs. The innovation of the 509 Pro Dirt Goggle continues with a hinged strap that allows the goggles to fit flush against the face. This not only adds comfort, but also blocks out dust, mud and wind from your eyes. A silicon-backed strap ensures the goggles remain securely in the ideal location on your helmet. Plus, a triple layer of foam helps to wick away moisture and provide an irritation free fit. Every 509 Dirt Pro Goggle is tear-off compatible with a unique triple tear-off post design for more positive retention of the tear-offs themselves and assured performance when you need it most. In addition, each goggle features an integrated and removable vented nose guard for added protection from roost.

2013 BMW M5 facelift & new M6 get Competition Package

Tue, 21 May 2013

The BMW M5 (left) & M6 with new Competition Packacge But the 2013 BMW M5 – and its coupe sister, the BMW M6 – will also be getting a Competition Package option for 2013, which is probably more interesting than the minor tweaks to the 2013 5 Series. The Competition Package adds more power to both the M5 and M6 – a whole 15bhp, taking it up to 567bhp – enough to improve the 0-62mph by 0.2s on both M5 and M6 as well as re-tuned dampers and springs – which lower ride height on the M5, but not the M6 – stiffer anti-roll bars, new M Diff and an improved Dynamic Mode which should allow you to play a bit more. On the cosmetic front, just like the 5 Series facelift, you’ll have to look quite hard to see what the Competition Package adds, but you do get a black finish on the tail pipes and a slightly different set of 20″ alloys.

Wed, 27 May 2009

It's taken a little more than two years for Ford to build 1 million vehicles with the Sync entertainment and communications system, and the automaker marked the milestone by having Ford CEO Alan Mulally deliver a Ford Fusion hybrid with the 1-millionth system to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Ford also let Mulally, a former Boeing executive, make a return visit to Seattle, home to the Microsoft headquarters. Microsoft supplies the software that is the heart of the Sync system.

Kia Ray Concept at Chicago Motor Show

Thu, 21 Jan 2010

Kia wil preview the Kia Ray Concept plug-in hybrid at the Chicago Motor Show next month Yes, the Detroit Motor Show is only just about done, but waiting in the wings is the rather less fancy Chicago Motor Show (although they probably won’t thank us for describing it as such). But despite Chicago being a lower key affair than Detroit they will still get their share of new stuff. Well, not necessarily new (we reported that North America gets the BMW Alpina B7 which will debut at Chicago) but certainly new to the US.
