2680 Forged 327 Small Journal 300/325 HP Crank Camaro Chevelle Corvette Nova L79.

Used OEM forged small journal Chevy 327 300/325/340 HP factory grind crankshaft with normal wear and tear. Nice survivor from an engine with no known mechanical issues. Original factory pilot bearing intact. Flywheel/flexplate threads intact with no damage but need cleaned and tapped. Rod journals measure approx. 1.998 +-, main journals measure approx. 2.298 +-. We wouldn't hesitate for a moment to run this as is, or, maybe polish it, however, your machinist may recommend that you turn it, depending on your preference for tolerances. Used in 1962-1967 327's w/sp. h/per & fi including the L 79 engines per 1981, 1983 Chevy Parts Catalog. It's an unmolested virgin in very good condition with the factory markings indicating it may have been hardened and tuftrided. Beats the price of an aftermarket crank every time. Look the pictures over, what you see is what you get.

Official: New Hyundai Genesis coming to UK & Europe

Sat, 26 Oct 2013

The new Hyundai Genesis (pictured) IS coming to Europe We’ve long thought it was time for Hyundai to bring higher-end cars to the UK and Europe as the perception of their cars as budget offerings only has morphed in to an acceptance that Hyundai’s range of cars is actually a credible mainstream force. Now that looks set to happen. Last month we reported that it looked like Hyundai are planning on introducing the new Genesis in the UK after we learnt they had plans to build RHD Genesis for Australia, and Hyundai has now confirmed they will be launching Genesis in Europe next year.

The Lotus Range Extender Engine Mind you, all that innovation and inspiration did make a few bob at times. I had reason to be in Norfolk a few years ago and got invited to Colin Chapman’s old house. A two-up, two-down it wasn’t.

17,000 solar panels to power Toyota’s Derbyshire plant

Mon, 06 Jun 2011

Toyota’s manufacturing plant at Burnaston in Derbyshire, where the Auris and Avensis are built, will install the biggest solar panel system yet seen in a UK car plant.  British Gas, which will stump up the £10 million cost of installing the solar panels, and Toyota are working together to save 2000 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. Once the solar panels are installed, they claim it will save enough energy to build approximately 7000 cars a year.
