GM completes sale of Saab to Spyker

General Motors today completed the sale of its Swedish Saab brand to Dutch luxury sports car maker Spyker Cars NV, marking the first successful sale of one of its four unwanted U.S. brands. The transaction combines Saab Automobile and its 3,400 employees with Spyker Cars and its 110-plus workers.

College Exhibition: Munich University of Applied Sciences 'Intelligent Emotion' project

Students at the Munich University of Applied Sciences have developed concepts in a project with Audi Design. The eleven studies to the brief of 'Intelligent Emotion', are imaginative proposals for transportation in the future, and range from a lightweight interior layout to a hybrid supercar. "The results are impressive", says Wolfgang Egger, head of Audi Group Design.

Record Breaker Roars Again

WEDNESDAY 29th January will go down in history as the day Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record breaking 350hp Sunbeam was fired up and heard in public for the first time in over 50 years. The historic event followed a complete rebuild by the National Motor Museum’s workshop team. As the brainchild of Sunbeam’s chief engineer and racing team manager, Louis Coatalen, the car was constructed during 1919 and early 1920 and power came from an aero engine, a type used on naval seaplanes.
