Thu, 28 Jun 2012McLaren are out in force for the Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend with the 2013 MP4-12C, 2011 F1 cars and the GREAT GT3 12C. Today sees the start of the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed with the Moving Motor Show ahead of the weekend’s real petrolhead fun, and McLaren are out in force. The 2013 McLaren MP4-12C will be on show for the first time complete with its extra 25bhp, programmable engine note, remote passenger door opening and extra trim options.

Wed, 11 Sep 2013The Ferrari 458 Speciale (pictured) unveiled at Frankfurt Ferrari probably won the crown at the Geneva Motor Show in March with LaFerrari as ‘Star Car’, so whatever they brought to Frankfurt would be a bit of a let down. But at least they brought something new. The ‘something new’ is the hardcore version of Ferrari’s mid-engined supercar, the 458, and Ferrari obviously used the same naming committee for this car as they did for LaFerrari – it’s the Ferrari 458 Speciale.

Perhaps not to the degree of xenophobic alliteration so beloved of our red-tops, but carried away with the moment nonetheless. But the range of headlines surrounding the Jaguar C-X75 Concept when it turned up at Paris in September where all in the same vein – the Jaguar C-X75 stole the show – and they were no exaggeration.
