This is a 1996 Johnson 200-HP 2-Stroke Carbureted Outboard Motor.  It is a 6-cylinder, 2 stroke, 25" long shaft motor. It features electric start, power trim, oil injection, remote control operation, forward/neutral/reverse gear shift, and runs on an external gas tank.  Engine has been rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, water pump, carburetors ultrasonically cleaned, spark plugs, gear oil and a newer replacement top cowl.  Engine will require a break-in period like a new outboard.  Starts right up, pumps water great, idles good, and has great power for a 200-HP. Great motor for a Whaler, Center Console, Bass Boat, offshore fishing boat or any other kind of boat. Controls/propeller/stand are not included.

Concept Car of the Week: Nissan NX-21 (1983)

Fri, 01 Aug 2014

In the early 1980s, with the new millennium still seemingly an age away, Nissan Design America was tasked with imagining the family car of the future, while giving potential buyers a preview of the forthcoming N13 NX and EXA models. The resulting concept would be shown at the Tokyo motor show in 1983. Given confidence by the increasing success and expanding global presence of Japanese cars, including the previous generation N12 NX, Nissan's designers, led by Tom Semple, decided that the NX-21 (for 21st century) was the answer.

Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes T80 (1939)

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

In the decade before World War II, no other carmaker even came close to matching the combined dominance of Mercedes-Benz and recently founded Auto Union. Supported by Adolf Hitler's Nazi government, the two brands had grander plans to demonstrate Germany's technological supremacy. In August 1936, Auto Union engineer Ferdinand Porsche and race car driver Hans Stuck approached Wilhelm Kissel, chairman of Daimler-Benz, and presented a plan to build a car that would set a new land speed world record.

Driven: Volkswagen Passat CC GT

Elegant and refined. Forty years ago these two words would not have been used to describe the Beetles bought in droves by the counterculture in the US; a symbol of the hippy movement and the definitive people's car, designed at a time when Germany sought to put people in motion. With the Passat CC, however, Volkswagen is indeed making a sharp move away from the ‘volks wagen', and these two words rolled off the tongues of those who saw the car in all three countries we drove through on our winter holiday.
