SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES

Of course we don't like high shipping charges any more than you do. In January 2016 the US Post Office raised all its shipping charges by a large amount. Also keep in mind that in addition to postage, our shipping cost includes our heavy packing materials, envelopes, labor in packing, processing the order, etc and eBay/PayPal take about a 14% fee out of the postage that our customers pay before we receive your funds. So, we net about 14% less than you pay for postage due to these fees. After paying all expenses, we generally lose money, or perhaps break even on shipping.

Please note that any dates given by the post office or eBay for delivery times are estimates only and may vary. We can offer no guarantee on delivery times after the item leaves our facility.

U.S.A. SHIPPING ONLY:

LIGHT ITEMS - U.S.A. ONLY:

U.S.A. Only: For all types of "light items": sales literature, owner's manuals, sales brochures, etc., please add $4.95 per order for first class mail. This charge includes our careful packing, all packing materials and labor. PLEASE NOTE the $4.95 charge only applies to light items (as listed above). For more expensive items, or multiple items, we may choose Priority Mail, which may result in higher postage charges. For heavier items, see below. Some listings with smaller items are marked with less postage. For overnight delivery, contact us for additional charges.

NOTE: If you had the winning bid on more than one auction and are sending in your payment for all of the items at once, add $1 for each additional item, as long as they are all "light" items.

FACTORY PHOTOGRAPHS - U.S.A. ONLY:

Postage is $3.95 for one or more photographs shipped to the United States. You may buy as many photos as you wish for this one shipping charge.

FACTORY PHOTOGRAPH POSTERS - U.S.A. ONLY:

Postage is $7.95 for one or more photo posters shipped to the United States. You may buy as many photo posters as you wish for this one shipping charge. Your poster will be shipped to you in a heavy mailing tube. Please note that from our experience these tubes take longer to arrive than flat packages.

HEAVIER ITEMS - U.S.A. ONLY:

U.S.A. Only: For all types of "heavier items": All showroom albums, books, shop manuals, parts books, larger sales catalogs, and other heavier items, add 7.95 per item for media mail. For more expensive items, or multiple items, we may choose Priority Mail, which may result in higher postage charges. If ordering several heavy items at once, contact us and we will combine shipping and hopefully will be able to lower the price if possible. If items are extremely large, framed or bulky, contact us for a shipping quote. Assuming that correct payment has been made, most items will be shipped within one business day of receipt of payment. Personal checks must clear.

FOREIGN AND CANADA SHIPPING:

First Class International Airmail postage is $14.95 for the first item and $8.95 for each additional item. This price includes tracking information which is mandated by eBay. If you are ordering 3 or more items at one time, contact us and we will combine shipping and hopefully be able to lower the shipping price if possible. Be sure and contact us before you pay to avoid non-refundable eBay postage fees. These charges cover only "light items": sales literature, owner's manuals, etc. For all books, shop manuals, showroom albums and other heavy items, please contact us for the exact shipping charges. The airmail shipping charges for posters varies and is calculated depending on the size of the poster. After mailing, First Class International Airmail shipment should take between 2 and 4 weeks to arrive at your destination. However, we have seen customs and post office delays and sometimes it can take up to 6 weeks to arrive on rare occasions. We have had many complaints of late arrivals, especially to Australia, South America, Eastern Europe and Africa. We appreciate your patience. If you prefer your order arrive any faster than this, please contact us for alternate shipping methods, at higher cost. We ship all orders totaling over $150 in value by International Priority Mail. This is somewhat faster, safer and quicker to move through customs than First Class International Airmail, as well as providing better tracking to your door.

FACTORY PHOTOGRAPHS - FOREIGN AND CANADA:

Postage is $14.95 for one or more photographs shipped to any foreign country or Canada. You may buy as many photos as you wish for this one shipping charge.

FACTORY PHOTOGRAPH POSTERS - FOREIGN AND CANADA:

Postage is $14.95 for one or more photo posters shipped to any foreign country or Canada. You may buy as many photo posters as you wish for this one shipping charge. Your poster will be shipped to you in a heavy mailing tube.

NEW YORK STATE SALES TAX:
New York residents only please add 7% to 9% sales tax (your local sales tax rate) to your total including shipping. Please add the auction price plus shipping together-this total amount is taxed, according to the tax code. You must pay this if order is shipped to a New York address. Sorry, but by state law, your order cannot be shipped without this tax.
CONCERNING EMAILS:
We would very much like to answer your emails in a timely fashion, but due to high volume, sometimes we get behind. Also, please note that we are not open on the weekends or holidays and answer emails each day Monday through Friday only. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Concept Car of the Week: Dodge M4S PPG Turbo Interceptor (1985)

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

As a major paint supplier of Detroit's big three, PPG would commission every year a car to be used as a pace car in the Indy Car World Series. In 1984 Chrysler began the development of a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive car using an experimental powertrain. To avoid the costs of creating a whole new chassis, the M4S is based on a modified Huffaker tubular chassis with full roll cage taken from the Pontiac Fiero IMSA race car, only lengthened to a 100-inch wheelbase.

ESP could save 380 lives a year

Tue, 19 Jun 2007

By Ben Shacham Motor Industry 19 June 2007 12:24 The campaign to make electronic stability control (ESC) standard on all new cars by 2012 is gathering momentum - and it could save 380 lives a year, say ministers. The UK's Department for Transport today claimed that hundreds of lives could be saved every year if all new cars had stability control fitted - totalling 4000 lives across Europe. A campaign to raise awareness of the potential benefits of ESC was launched last month in Rome by European commissioners and FIA president Max Mosley.
