We’re not entirely sure how the Nissan Juke-R – the love child of a Juke and a GT-R – ended up in Dubai pitted in a race against a selection of the world’s best supercars – but it did. Local Motors XC2V design competition winners announced

Created in partnership with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the brief called for individuals to co-create a vehicle body design for two different missions – Combat Reconnaissance and Combat Delivery & Evacuation – based on Local Motors' tubular steel chassis. The goal was to create a fast, lightweight, highly capable vehicle that would be suitable for various field missions.
'Dalek' taking on charity challenge

Four friends have spent months turning the seven-year-old Fiat people carrier into a four-wheeled likeness of The Doctor's arch-nemesis for the Wacky Rally, starting Friday. Clare Brookes, a funeral director by trade, is hoping the eye-catching car - which has a loud hailer jammed in the sun-roof that emits "exterminate" on demand - will help them raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
