This 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX rally car is featured on Bring a Trailer this morning, and it brings us right back to our rambunctious high school years. Sure, we didn't get our licenses until 1996, but that was the perfect time to find something a few years old--preferably with a turbocharger and a manual transmission—and hoon it to death. But while there were several Eclipses floating around our group of friends, none was as built as this car.

Jaguar adds AWD, new four- and six-cylinder engines to 2013 lineup

Jaguar is offering the option of all-wheel drive on the XF and XJ sedans for 2013 models, and adds supercharged four- and six-cylinder engines to the XF. Also, all automatic XF and XJ sedans will use a new eight-speed transmission from German supplier ZF, as Jaguar looks to boost the fuel economy of its vehicles. Powertrains get the most significant changes for Jaguar in the 2013 model year.

General Motors is mulling a radical re-engineering for the Chevrolet Corvette, centered on a more fuel-efficient, mid-engined V6 powertrain, a lightweight alloy body and a more compact footprint. The idea is to re-energize GM's ambition for the Corvette, with fundamental changes that will make it into a contemporary global supercar. The changes are penciled into GM's product plan for the next major model change, the C8, with an on-sale date around 2016.
