This is a point type distributor. It was removed from a good running car years ago, and has been sitting on a shelf. I'm selling it "as is" or for a core to be rebuilt.

This distributor is in very good condition, it just hasn't been used for so long and has not been checked since storage.

The date code was not stamped very deep and is not legible, see pictures.

Volkswagen Golf R 400 revealed – and it looks production ready

Sat, 19 Apr 2014

The VW Golf R 400 (pictured) revealed ahead of Beijing A few days ago we had a teaser sketch for the VW Golf R 400, a 395 bhp version of the Golf R, which we assumed would be nothing more than yet another uber-powerful Golf Concept. But with underpinnings largely taken from the production Golf R, and a fully functioning interior, this Golf R 400 looks more production ready than any Golf Concept before. The Golf R 400 still uses the regular Golf R’s 2,0 litre Turbo, but VW has managed to squeeze an extra 99bhp and 52lb/ft of torque to produce supercar-rivalling performance of 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 174mph.

California looks to tighten pollution limits

Thu, 26 Jan 2012

The California Air Resources Board is scheduled to vote on Thursday on whether to adopt stricter clean-air standards for the state proposed by the Advanced Clean Car program. The program's proposal combines the control of soot, smog-causing pollutants and greenhouse-gas emissions into a package that may be required for model years 2017 through 2025. According to the program, the rules aim to clean up conventionally powered cars, deliver more zero-emissions cars and ensure that a fueling infrastructure is available.
