1961 Auto Union DKW 1000 wagon.
last registered in Michigan in 1965. no current title, but plate is there so a title may be obtainable.
car is very rough, but everything appears to be there, and is restorable.
engine is out, and partly apart,sitting in the back. all glass is good.
also seems to have been one sold stateside, as the speedo is in mph.

Vehicle does not run and drive - buyer responsible for all shipping/trailering costs and arrangements.

Mystery Porsche prototype destroyed in fire near Stuttgart

According to the Porsche-lovers at flatsixes.com, an unknown Porsche prototype caught fire after being taken home by an employee earlier this week. It reportedly took 19 firefighters to extinguish the blaze, which occurred in a home garage in Ludwigsburg, Germany (a city located near Porsche's home in Stuttgart). Fortunately, the employee and his wife suffered only minor injuries, but we assume the prototype is a complete loss.
