Cars of the future could be powered by seawater

According to Jalopnik, the US Naval Research Laboratory is turning carbon dioxide from seawater into hydrogen, with the hope of fuelling its jets from alternative sources. Volvo, Geely working on shared architecture

The platform will be modular, as is practically required in this day and age, ready to underpin different body styles or—if need be—an entirely new lineup.
