1955 Ford Full Size & T-Bird - Red & Gold V-8 Emblem 1956 Ford Full Size - Red & Gold V-8 Emblem -1956* New Glove Box Door V8 Emblem B5A/6A-7004407-A Emblem - Retainer Nut (1955) NOT included or a (1956) BARREL CLIP. BUYER TIPS: This V-8 EMBLEM IS THREADED like the original 1955 BUT does not come with a NUT which the 1955 needs nor a BARREL CLIP for the 1956 The two mounting holes are 3/16" or 5/32" depending on wear and removal enlargement. FOR 1956* APPLICATIONS the Top Hole uses Barrel clip and bottom hole is For Alignment. See pic 5 for a stud with residue of the clip, two used clips, and a POSSIBLE new clip. For 1956* some people use a Hole Saw the size of the plugged holes for the F O R D ----- Emblem and then add another snap in plug. See Picture 4 with a smaller hole 56 that has been drilled out to resolve the problem and use the nut. For those whose Barrel Clips are missing, I have not found an exact replacement Barrel Clip. The Barrel Clip is pretty much a one time use clip if the old emblem stud does not release when attempting to remove. You can drill a broken stud with a 1/8" bit and push the Barrel Clip through and out one of the other holes. Yours may still be in the top hole - it is very thin and you would have to know to look to see if it is there. If there then you can just push the new V8 in. I can acquire universal clips that will fit the the 1956 3/16" top hole OD. The clip starts over the threads but it might be easier to file down some of the threads at the end to get it in easier and not damage your new paint. Inquire. Check out my other items! BMW and Local Motors announce contest winners
Wed, 07 Nov 2012BMW and Local Motors have announced the winning ideas in the Urban Driving Experience Challenge after phase one of the contest closed on 16 October. Anthony Franze of Australia won first prize and a cash award of $7,500 with his design for a premium car sharing service called ‘BMW Reward Me.' He also earned himself a trip to Munich, Germany, to meet with the head of BMW's Group Research and Technology, Dr. Christoph Grote.

That was enough to make the Beetle sell in almost respectable numbers in both North and South America, but it consigned VW’s retro effort to the novelty bin in Europe, where we tend to know a cynical marketing ploy from a real car. But Volkswagen seem intent on making the 212 VW Beetle rather more credible.
