All hatches currently sold on the market are fabricated with plastic hinges integrated in the hatch’s frame. This means that if the hatch cover needed replacement it would be necessary to dismount the entire boat frame, a strenuous if not impossible task due to the fact that the frame is glued to the boat with particularly strong adhesives. With our patented system, the cover of the hatch can be dismounted and replaced simply by removing 3 screws, even if only for purely aesthetic reasons. Another revolutionary system allows for the cover to be completely removed from its housing/frame at an opening angle that spans between 5° and 75°. This solution is particularly appealing to manufacturers and end users of boats that have the driving/steering console very close to the driver’s seat. With this configuration it can be troublesome to open the hatch during navigation since the driver himself is obstructing the hatch door opening. Government-backed App makes it easy There can’t be many motorists in the UK who haven’t fallen foul of our pitted and potholed roads (one of the Cars UK team had a £1500 suspension re-build bill last year), so anything we can do to point out what needs doing is a bonus. So the news that the government is backing an App to report potholes in the UK to the tune of £30,000 is good news (assuming the reported potholes get acted on).
Telematics discounts tempting young drivers

Specialist young driver insurer Carrot has reported a 62% rise in the number of its policyholders choosing to have a telematics device, consisting of accelerometers and a GPS tracker, fitted to their car. The company says that they could save up to 20% on their annual insurance premium, which for the youngest drivers almost always amounts to a discount of hundreds of pounds.
Changan opens new European Designing Center in Turin

An audience of VIP guests and press were given grand tour of the new facility located in Rivoli near Turin after an opening ceremony filled with the pomp and pageantry we've come to expect from the Chinese car industry. The new 11,000 square meter European Designing Center is Changan's latest move to grow its business globally, having already established research and development centers at five Chinese locations as well as in Detroit USA, Nottingham UK, and Yokohama Japan.
