The DH-WC-1 Large Rubber Wheel Chocks are built for large, heavy duty commercial vehicles like fire trucks, hauler trucks, or other commercial trucks. The molded heavy duty grade rubber chock has a slope of 40° and is ideal for wheel diameters 41" and up. The weight limit on these rubber chocks is 120 tons. The built in 6 1/2" x 2" handle makes moving and carrying the chock more convenient. OSHA safety regulations (below) require all power industrial trucks to be chocked with at least (2) wheels chocks to prevent the vehicle from rolling when it is parked. All industrial wheel chocks are Sold As Singles.

Wheel Chock User Guidelines

Improper use may result in product failure
Select wheel chock according to vehicle type and size
Always use in pairs and on firm surfaces
Chock in direction of grade
Chock both sides of wheel if direction of grade is undetermined
Use only after parking brake is applied and tested
Center chocks snugly and squarely against tread of each wheel
Always test chocks to insure they meet requirements
Do not drive over wheel chocks

OSHA Safety Regulations

Powered Industrial Trucks - 1910.178(k)(1)
The brakes of highway trucks shall be set and wheel chocks placed under the rear wheels to prevent the trucks from rolling while they are boarded with powered industrial trucks.

Powered Industrial Trucks - 1910.178(m)(7)
Brakes shall be set and wheel blocks shall be in place to prevent movement of trucks, trailers, or railroad cars while loading or unloading. Fixed jacks may be necessary to support a semi trailer during loading or unloading when the trailer is not coupled to a tractor. The flooring of trucks, trailers, and railroad cars shall be checked for breaks and weakness before they are driven onto.

Storing/Handling Anhydrous Ammonia - 1910.111(f)(9)
Chock Blocks. At least two chock blocks shall be provided. These blocks shall be placed to prevent rolling of the vehicle whenever it is parked during loading and unloading operations.

Land Rover OKs LRX-based small SUV for Range Rover

Land Rover will put its striking LRX concept car, first displayed at the 2008 Detroit auto show, into production with the help of a $37.1 million grant from the British government. But in a move suggesting it will be pitched further upmarket than originally intended--against four-wheel-drive rivals such as the Audi Q5, the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLK--the LRX will reach showrooms wearing Range Rover badges. "Internal studies have shown that if we deliver the LRX to market, it would be best suited to the Range Rover brand," Land Rover boss Phil Popham said.

Detroit Electric delays SP:01 EV

Detroit Electric will delay the SP:01 EV roadster for at least a month, according to a company executive who talked to the Detroit News. The company still hasn’t finalized a manufacturing location in Wayne County. Production was scheduled to start in August, now it’s slated for September.
