Up for auction is this Original GM instruction sleeve for the new ignition lock system which was moved from the dash-board to the steering column. This instruction sleeve was positioned over the driver side sun-visor on new GM vehicles from 1969 through 1971. This is a remarkably well kept original piece with very crisp corners and straight sides. This auction is for one, but I have two equally pristeen.

Suzuki Regina, Q-concept, Swift EV (2011) first pictures

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

Suzuki is showing its vision for an aerodynamic city car at the 2011 Tokyo auto show: the regally named Regina. It's pitched as a radical 'next-generation global compact car', which sounds suspiciously as if it could have production intent. The new Suzuki Regina is all about minimalism: it weighs just 730kg, so it only requires a small capacity petrol engine, which brings emissions down to 70g/km and appetite for unleaded at a rate of 90mpg.

Younger women drivers are helping to boost the number of female driving licence holders around the world, but older women drivers are also growing in number. The number of males applying for a new driving licence has declined in the last three years, but the number of women applying for a driving licence has gone up by 2.5%.

New Hyundai i20 Blue – just 98g/km CO2

Tue, 16 Aug 2011

Hyundai i20 Blue - just 98g/km CO2 With a keen eye for where the market moves, Hyundai has done much right of late and very little wrong. And another example of something right is the new Hyundai i20 Blue, a perfect example of economical transport for beleaguered London car owners. The i20 Blue is Hyundai’s second offering in the sub 100g/km market – the i10 Blue got here first - but it’s unlikely to be the last, unless politicians decide to find something more sensible to tax than CO2 emissions.
